My name is Janet and I am a poet, a songwriter, an author, a writer.  Words and emotions are my passion.  I’ve been blessed with a gift and it’s with this gift that I am starting my new venture, Original Writings by jm.

 

This past April, during one of the worst Pandemics we ever had to face, I decided to start writing inspirational thoughts, amusing writings and thought-provoking words and posting them on Facebook.  I wanted to try to ease the minds of those feeling vulnerable and afraid.  I was hoping to take the reader away from the craziness of the world for a minute or two during their day.  The response towards my writings has been amazing and this positive reaction has inspired me to compile my first 100 poems into a book, “Poems from the Pandemic”.

 

During this time, I was fortunate to have people send me photos of their children, lovable pets, beautiful vacation memories and also historical places, asking me to write something meaningful to cherish for years to come.  The response was simply beautiful.  It was at this time I realized that my talent for writing could enhance the beauty of any memory.  So, welcome to Original Writings by jm!
